NAIDOC Week 2026 - Community Connection Day

About this event

NAIDOC Week 2026 marks an extraordinary milestone celebrating 50 years of honouring Indigenous voices, culture and resilience.

This year’s theme, “50 Years of Deadly,” pays tribute to the Elders, activists, artists and community leaders who have shaped the NAIDOC movement for half a century. It reflects on the stories, marches, languages, art and leadership that have carried our people forward — and the strength and pride that continue today.

Join us at our NAIDOC's Community Connection Day to be held on Monday 6 July at Campbelltown Billabong Parklands from 11am to 3pm.

Come together with community to celebrate local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history, culture and achievements, honour the contributions Indigenous Australians make to our country and local region, connect with local organisations, Elders, cultural leaders and community groups, and enjoy performances, cultural activities, information stalls, workshops and family‑friendly entertainment.
