Book Week After School: Junk Orchestra: Play It!
About this event
Celebrate Children’s Book Week with a fun and creative hands-on experience at the library! Discover how to transform everyday recycled materials into one-of-a-kind musical instruments, then come together to play along with our very own Junk Orchestra. Experience the excitement of creating, performing, and bringing stories to life through sound in these two workshops for 5-12 year olds to celebrate Book Week and the Symphony of Stories!
Bring along your recycled musical instrument and join our music expert Tito Espinosa to create a lively Junk Orchestra! In this workshop, children will experiment with sound, rhythm, and movement. They will explore the art of storytelling—using their instruments to create mood, build excitement, and bring the stories of songs to life.
It’s the perfect blend of creativity, learning, and performance—where imagination takes centre stage, and every child becomes a musician!
