My Life With Her

My Life With Her is a visual journal by Gabriela Villalba, that has evolved over 10 years, tracing key life transitions such as childhood, adolescence and personal shifts including motherhood and bodily change. Grounded in observational photography and self-portraiture, the work moves between camera-less and digital processes alongside 19th-century sun-printed cyanotypes, unfolding through collages and recycled materials to create images that sit between documentary and visual poetry.

The exhibition features handmade prints, textile elements and an animated short film created in collaboration with Miguel Gonzalez, offering an intimate viewing experience that explores change, continuity and evolving bonds.

Public Programs

As part of the exhibition program, Gabriela will host a meditation session led by mindfulness teacher Carolina Gonzalez.

The Art of Noticing is a guided experience of observation, self-reflection and change, inviting participants to slow down and engage in attentive seeing as a reflective practice for presence and awareness.

Inspired by the exhibition’s themes of growth and continuity, the session creates a space to pause, observe and reconnect through both mindfulness and photography.
